Launch Now, Improve as You Go

Through my experience working with startups, I’ve learned that those who do really well are generally actors of implementation. Those who don’t do as well are looking for perfection.

I’ve fallen into the perfectionist side, but over the years I’ve learned to let it go while launching something.

As you start your business, think about what you can do to implement immediately. Rather than having all the bells and whistles or all the services you want to offer, can you launch with just one product or service? Can you add others later?

Unless you have the money to wait it out to make it all exactly how you want it, most likely you will have to launch quickly with what you have.

I acknowledge that it’s important to:

  1. Plan for the business
  2. Understand how you will earn money
  3. Understand the language you should use when talking to customers

What I will also say is that you don’t really know — until you launch — how the market will react.
