Leadership is Not Easy

Trust me when I say: Leadership is Neither Easy nor Comfortable.

While many leaders around the world have shared this adage with us over the years, we heard it more than ever while we deal with COVID.

Speaking out in tough times is vital for leaders — that is how we as humans get things done. We need to continue to march toward the unknown, the unseen, imagining a future that can be better for all of us.

Whether we are standing up for economic prosperity, human rights, against racism, or wanting to deliver a service to a customer in need, leadership that moves things forward comes in as many ways, forms, and shapes as we can imagine.

Some leaders choose to go in one direction, others in a different direction. As entrepreneurs choose today to find new ways to keep their business moving by creating new models, their dream continues to live and move forward. They keep the wheels turning.

During Covid, many changed the way they did business. Some restaurants bought a tent and set up seating seat. Others chose to put limits on the number of people they could serve at one time. Some began delivery services — and the list goes on.

Those with products transitioned quickly to online, and although it’s a different world, it is a world that we should have been in a while ago! But don’t…
