Leadership: Self-Governance & Reflection
In our interaction with entrepreneurs and leaders around the world we’ve heard leadership defined many ways, depending on the perception of individual people. One person’s “reality” about leadership might be quite different from another’s!
Many of the leaders and entrepreneur’s we work with around the world have the ability to hold themselves accountable without anyone asking them to do it.
The skill set of self-governance spark the innovations and results we see today.
As you govern your body, your tasks, your vision or mission — as you control what you do every day — it becomes clear why you should be motivated every morning.
Another thing we’ve noticed is that when leaders are judged by others, they reflect on themselves and their actions rather than taking the other person’s perception at face value, while still adjusting their behavior to address some of the observer’s comments.
Leadership is not an easy role! You’ll have those who support you and those that don’t. It takes a vision of self-governance and reflection to keep moving forward.
